The Area

Elm Drive is located within the twin burghs of Blairgowrie and Rattray, set against the backdrop of rolling fields and fertile Perthshire farmland. Locals often refer to the town simply as “Blair.” Blairgowrie, the larger of the two former burghs, is a historic market town with the River Ericht flowing through its centre.

The area is ideal for enjoying the Scottish Highlands and sits at the gateway to the Cateran Trail – a picturesque hiking route that takes in Glenericht, Bridge of Cally, Enochdhu, and Glenisla. The popular Glenshee ski area is just 20 miles north towards Braemar. Local leisure activities include scenic riverside walks, fishing along the River Ericht, and golfing at Blairgowrie Golf Club, home to two superb courses: Rosemount and Lansdowne.

Elm Drive is within easy walking distance of Rattray Primary School, while St Stephen’s RC Primary is located on Elm Drive at the Blairgowrie Campus. Secondary students attend Blairgowrie High School on Beeches Road.

Regular bus services connect Blairgowrie to Perth, Dundee, Alyth, Coupar Angus, and Dunkeld, along with a circular town route. The nearest railway stations are in Perth and Dunkeld & Birnam, with major road links including the M90, M80, A9, and A85.

Head north on the A93 towards Blairgowrie.
Continue on the A93, passing through Carsie.
Follow Perth Road (still A93).
Turn right at the retail park onto Hazelwood Road.

From the A90, exit at the Glamis junction.
Follow the A94 towards Forfar/Cupar Angus.
Pass through Meigle and turn right onto the B954.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A926, passing through Rattray.
Continue onto Boat Brae (A93).
Turn right at the Angus Hotel onto Wellmeadow (A93).
Turn right onto Reform Street (A93).
Turn left onto Perth Street (A93).
Follow the A93, pass the retail park, then turn left onto Hazelwood Road.
